Turning City Slickers into Eco Warriors

Every summer, our team gets together for a fun day out of the office. This year, we decided to do something different and try a kayak clean-up with Mark Galea Pace and his foundation, Coast is Clear.

We arrived by boat in the afternoon to the north of Malta and found Mark and his dog waiting for us with lots of plastic bags and kayaks. We set off to explore some of the most beautiful secluded caves and bays along Paradise Bay.

As we kayaked, we wondered if we would see any rubbish, as the sea was as clear as it gets. But when we finally arrived in Paradise Bay, we were shocked to find tucked-away pebble beaches covered in plastic bottle caps, plastic bottles, ropes, containers, shoes, and all kinds of other rubbish.

We quickly got to work filling up bags of rubbish. It was hard work, but it was also incredibly rewarding. We knew that we were making a difference, and we were proud to be a part of Coast is Clear’s mission to clean up Malta’s coastline.
