An annual event for CEMS Global Alliance.
CEMS is a Global Alliance of leading business schools, multinational companies and NGOs that together offer the CEMS Master in International Management.
The annual event is the biggest CEMS gathering of the year and takes place at the end of every year. In 2018 the annual event took place in Malta, bringing together the entire CEMS community – students, alumni, corporate partners, social partners, academic members and guests. The event consists of plenary sessions, workshops, panel debates, community dinners, parties and a graduation ceremony.
CEMS had decided to organize the event in Malta without the support of an academic partner and contacted ECMeetings to be the local partner for their largest annual event. The four day event involved formal meetings, panels, official dinners, parties and a graduation ceremony for over 1000 members from 50 countries. The organization of the event began one in a half years prior to the event and involved several client site visits, sourcing of venues, accommodation, meeting facilities and social events.
The Hilton Malta was chosen as the main hotel, due to its location and extensive meeting facilities. Plenaries and workshops were held in the Hilton Malta Conference Centre. A dinner and after party were held at the Hilton Malta for 400 delegates. An official dinner was held in Mdina at Palazzo de Piro, as well as some organized excursions. The main event took place at the Malta Fairs and Convention Centre (MFCC), an ideal multifunctional event space for large-scale events. The set up of the venue began two days in advance and involved extensive branding, installations, carpeting, staging and AV equipment. The main event is a graduation ceremony for over 1000 members, followed by a gala dinner and an after party.

"ECMeetings was our vital ally in the organisation of the highlight event of the CEMS Global Alliance year. An important event gathering community members from over 50 countries for a 4 day event which included formal meetings, panels, official dinners, parties and a graduation ceremony.
The organisation was a challenge as CEMS had decided to organise the Events without the support of an academic partner, and we contacted ECMeetings to be our partner on the ground.
