The client was looking for a DMC in Malta to assist with their annual congress which they were organising in Malta. The programme was to be mainly conference based with a welcome dinner, a formal gala dinner and an informal farewell dinner. So together with the client, ECMeetings prepared the following programme.
The event kick started with a harmonious welcome concert at St. John’s Cathedral in Valletta. This children’s choir recital set the tone for the next few days as their angelic voices resonated sweet melodies for the guests’ listening pleasure. With a dinner at the Upper Barrakka Gardens the evening progressed into a lovely one with the guests experiencing only the best while on the island.
Since this was a conference event, the delegates spent the Friday morning in meetings at the Excelsior hotel in Floriana while their partners ventured to the temples of Hagar Qim and Mnajdra and to Tal-Virtu Vineyard for an olive grove experience. It was a feast for the culture vultures and a savouring experience for the natural food lovers. An afternoon harbour cruise in the Grand Harbour of Malta was followed by the guests once again being treated to a first class evening at Montekristo Wine Vaults. It was a special night along with great entertainment from a live band.
The last day of the event included another morning of meetings but this time lunch was held in the fortified city of Mdina – one of Malta’s most prestigious cities. After a light lunch at the Secret Garden, guests went on a short tour of the magnificent medieval city. As per the client’s original brief, the event was to end on a high with a casual farewell dinner so the ideal location for this was Razzett L-Antik – a traditional farmhouse in a typical Maltese village serving only fresh local produce. It is safe for us to say that the guests got a truly genuine taste of Malta on this night.
