Automotive Customer Reward Incentive

Pre event Planning
ECMeetings were asked to organise a relaxing fun-filled incentive trip to treat the top sellers of an automotive company. The brief included a three to four night programme for twelve middle-aged couples, which needed to include an activity with a competitive edge.

The client stressed on the importance of keeping the group together and of course wanted the guests to relax, relax and relax some more!

A Solution by ECMeetings

Sue Nani, ECMeetings’ Event Manager working on this group, felt that the best relaxation location for a group like this would be Gozo, Malta’s sister island, mainly because life in Gozo goes at a much slower pace than most places. The guests were greeted at the airport by our hostess and treated to cold water, wet towels and local snacks to compensate for the two hour journey up to Gozo. They then enjoyed a walking tour around a local vineyard and of course got to enjoy wine tasting afterwards.

On the next day a yacht was exclusively chartered for the guests to enjoy an all day cruise. This included various stops in the best swimming spots around Gozo and Comino, a buffet lunch, an open bar and chill out music that set the relaxing mood. ECMeetings also threw in a surprise ‘Luzzu ride’ to the caves which was good fun for the guests. Dinner was then served at a great restaurant with a U-shaped set up to be sure that the group remained united and together.

A competitive jeep treasure hunt was held on the following day. The group was divided into teams of four and had to follow the instructions as per the clues given. Along the way they also had the opportunity to visit Ggantija Temples and the Salt Pans, two great cultural sites of Gozo and prizes were given to the winning team during lunch. On the final day, guests were transferred back to Malta and before heading to the airport, had the opportunity to visit Valletta at leisure.

Post event Analysis

The event was very well received, with clients commenting “everything seemed to be sorted out so efficiently and effectively” and “it was fab to work with a ground agent who knows her destination like she does and just gets it!”
